Q: How do I log in to the site
A: There are two ways to log in to Online Recovery Support:
- Click the “Forums” button under “Navigation” and you’ll be taken to our Forums section. Everyone is welcome to register for an account on our forums and participate in the discussions there. You may register if you do not already have an account by simply clicking the “Register” button at the top of the Forums page, you will need a valid email address. Our website will send an email containing a password to your email address which you can then use to log in to the system and start posting. You may change this password at any time, simply log in and click your name at the top of the page and follow the directions for changing your password.
- Site Editors may, in addition to using the Forums, log in to the main site editor with valid administrator approved credentials. Instructions on how to log in to the site as an editor will be provided by the site administrator, including the necessary URL. If you are interested in becoming a site editor please contact us at etothx@aol.com.
Q: Where can I find instructions on using the site text editor?
A: Online Recovery Support uses the popular TinyMCE editor for article posting. Instructions on how to use TinyMCE are located here.
Q: How can I use an Avatar with my account?
A: Online Recovery Support will allow you to use any avatar set up through the Gravatar service. This free service allows users to use a universal avatar graphic on any website supporting their system, they require only a valid email address. We currently do NOT support direct uploading of avatars to our site. Give Gravatar a try, you’ll be glad you did.
Q: A user on the site or forums is harassing me, what should I do?
A: Contact the site administrator immediately via email at etothx@aol.com. While we support the exchange of information, ideas, and opinions – whether friendly or in heated debate – we take online harassment very seriously. If possible, please send us a link to the offending URL so that we may take action that much faster if necessary.
Q: Can I create a new forum category?
A: Currently we do not allow public creation of new forum categories. We welcome your suggestions however and would like to hear your ideas. Please email us at etothx@aol.com and let us know what you’d like to see.
